Bafika babuza inyoni, "Ingabe liqanda lakho leli?"
Kodwana inyoni yaphendula yathi, "Awa, akusilo iqanda lami lelo.

Buzani isikhova. Mhlamunye liqanda laso."
UKatsu noNja baya esikhoveni.

Bafika babuza isikhova, "Ingabe akusilo iqanda lakho leli?"
Isikhova saphendula sathi, "Awa, akusilo iqanda lami lelo.

Buzani irhansi. Mhlamunye liqanda lalo."
UKatsu noNja baya erhansini.

Bafika babuza irhansi, "Ingabe akusilo iqanda lakho leli?"
Irhansi laphendula lathi, "Awa, akusilo iqanda lami leli.

Buzani amadada amabili naka. Mhlamunye liqanda lawo."
UKatsu noNja baya emadadeni amabili.

Bafika babuza amadada amabili, "Ingabe akusilo iqanda lenu leli?"
Kodwana amadada amabili aphendula athi, "Awa, akusilo iqanda lethu lelo.

Ngemuva kwalokho iqanda laphuka.
Kunesibhadwa ngaphakathi kweqanda.

Umntwana wesibhadwa.
Umntwana wesibhadwa uthi, "Uphi umma? Uphi ubaba? Uphi umma nobaba?"

UKatsu noNja bathatha umntwana wesibhadwa bamusa kunina noyise.
Sala kuhle Katsu.

Sala kuhle Nja.

Sala kuhle mntwana wesibhadwa.
