Mumwe musi iringuva yechando, Berhe akenda kunoshanyira hama dzake. Paakasvika parwizi, akaona zinyoka rakakura.
"Urikuendepi?" nyoka yakamubvunza.
"Ndiri kuda kuyambuka rwizi," akapindura Berhe.

Nyoka yakakumbira, "Ndinokumbira kuyambuka rwizi pamwe chete newe nekuti ini handigoni kuyambuka ndega."
Berhe akanzwa tsitsi achibva apindura, "Huya, ndinokubatsira kuyambuka rwizi."

Nyoka yakakwira mumusoro waBerhe ndokubva vayambuka rwizi.
Berhe akaudza nyoka kuti iburuke kubva mumusoro wake. Nyoka yakaramba ichiti, "Handiburuki, ndakagara zvakana pandiri pano."
Berhe akafunga kunopanga mazano. Akatsvaka zano kuna Bere pamusoro penyaya iyi.

"Waswera sei, Bere?" Berhe akakwazisa Bere. "Ndaswera zvangu. Ndingakubatsire nei?" bere akabvunza.
Berhe akaenderera mberi, "Ndinoziva kuti uri muyananisi akanaka, saka ndiri kukumbira kuti utibatsire."

Berhe akarondedzera zvakanga zvaitika pakati pake nenyoka, achikumbira maonero abere panyaya yacho.
Bere akati, "Mayambuka rwizi, saka nyoka ngaiburuke."

Asi nyoka yakaramba kuburuka.
Saka vakabva vaenda kuna Gava. Berhe akati, "Gava, unowanzopa hutongi hwakanaka, tinokumbira utibatsire."
"Ndabatsira nyoka kuyambuka rwizi. Asi tayambuka, nyoka yaramba kuburuka mumusoro mangu." Berhe akanyunyuta.
Gava akati, "Kana muchida kuti nditonge nyaya yenyu, munofanira kuti mese mumire pasi. Kana musingade kuita zvandataura, munodzokera henyu kwamabva kumhiri kwerwizi."

Nyoka yakabva yaburuka kubva mumusoro wa Berhe.
"Gava, chitiudzawo maonero ako," Berhe akadaro.

Gava akapindura, "Nyoka iri pasi. Tsvimbo yako unayo mumaoko. Saka chimwe chaunoda kuti nditaure chii?"
Kwapera kachinguva achifunga, Berhe akanzwisisa zvairehwa nagava.

Berhe akarova nyoka netsvimbo yake.
