Years ago the lion was the king of all the animals living on earth .

He yearly invites the animals for a party ,but there was no drums for them to play and to be be happy as they should have been.

The animals thought on how to make or get a drum but there was no way for them to get the drum.

After some days ,the tortoise came back and told the king of the squirrel, whom was known as the drum maker long time ago.

The king sent the hare ,the monkey and other animals to fetch the squirrel.

They arrived in the squirrels compound and he sat on the entrance of his hut .they delivered the message to him.

The animals brought the squirrel to the king, the king told the squirrel of the task ahead .

The squirrel told the animals that each of them will bring one of their ear and he will make the drum for them, so the animals gave him their ears because they wanted the drum.

All the animals agree but the rat refused to give his ear and walked away.

The squirrel used the ears of the animals to make a beautiful drum for them

He took the drum to the animals and gave them the drum .The animals were so happy for getting their drum.

The animals tried for a long time to play the drum but could not ,because there was nobody to play it nicely.The animals were frustrated and unhappy.

At night ,the animals heard a nice drum sound from the drum.they woke up and danced to the sound of the drum.

The animals woke up and were nervous to find who played the drum last night so well but they could not.

They sent the cat to find out who played the drum ,if he or she comes again to play.The cat hid and discovered that it was the rat.

The cat was very angry because the rat refused to give his ear and he is enjoying the drum ,therefore he jumped over the rat angrily.

He bite of the rats ear and chew it off and swallowed it .the ear was so sweet,the cat liked it so much.

When the cat discovered that the rat was sweet, he killed the rat.

He ate the rat all and decided to eat rats often
