Kwame goes to school

Kwame was a physically challenged boy who could not walk on his own and had to be carried to wherever he wanted to go.

His parents could neither afford clutches nor a wheelchair.

Kwame's mother did not want to enroll him in school because of his disability.

Any time he saw other children going to school he would cry that he would also want to go to school.

One day, Kwame's mother decided to take him to school.

At the school, the headmistress warmly received them and agreed to enroll Kwame.

Every morning, Kwame's mother would carry him to school and bring him back home after school.

At school, Kwame did very well in class and all the teachers liked him.

Whenever it was time for sports, Kwame could not take part but sat in front of the classroom to watch his friends play football.

He wished he could also take part.

One day, someone gave him a wheelchair. This made his movement both at home and school easy.

Soon it was speech and prize giving day. Kofi received a lot of prizes because he did well in the exams.
His mother was proud of him.
Kofi proved that even with his disability he could do well in school.
