Aku was a kind girl. She was loved by the inhabitants of Abuakwa.
She loved to smile and help everyone around her.
One day, Aku saw a little boy crying by the river.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"I lost my toy boat," the boy said.
Aku picked up a stick and helped him make a new one from leaves and bark.
The boy smiled and said, "Thank you!"
Aku also smiled. She felt happy.
Later, Aku saw her friend, Ama, looking sad.
"Why are you so sad today, Ama?" Aku asked.
Ama had spilled paint on her drawing.
Aku said, "We can fix it together!"
They laughed and coloured a new picture.
That afternoon, Mr Tabi shared a story.
"Love one another," he said. "Kindness makes the world bright."
Aku thought about all she did that day.
The next morning, Aku saw her classmates arguing over a game.
She suggested, "Let's take turns and play together."
Everyone agreed.
The game was fun, and the classmates smiled again.
Aku realized that caring for others felt wonderful.
"Every day I can love someone, and the world becomes happier," Aku thought.
She fell asleep hugging her doll.
