A long time ago, there lived a girl named Adama. She was always content for what she had. Adama had a best friend named Amarachi. Amarachi who unlike her, was never satisfied and always wanted more.

1

One faithful day, Adama and Amarachi went to fetch water together. As they walked along the path, they noticed a sachet of yoghurt lying on the ground as if someone had dropped it in a hurry.

2

Amarachi said "let's take it." Adama shook her head, "No, I won't. You need to learn to be content, that's what your mother always say. Let's go." After they left, Amarachi sat on a bench, still thinking about the Yoghurt.

3

After a while, She said to herself, " I must go back and take it" Without thinking twice, she hurried back. As soon as she picked it up, the ground suddenly opened and swallowed her.

4

When Amarachi's mother noticed she was missing, she went to Adama's mother. They started looking for her but did not see her. They passed the river side. And shouted, "Amarachi! Amarachi!" A voice replied, "Yes!, I am under the ground."

5

The two women started digging, hoping to find her but they saw nothing.

6

At a certain point, a strong breeze started blowing. Suddenly, Amarachi came out and her mother was happy to see her again. As she came out, he ground closed back.

7

From that day, Amarachi realised that she was greedy. She begged her mother for forgiveness and her mother forgave her.
