Ada held her mother's hand as they walked into the big supermarket. The place was bright and full of colours. Ada's eyes Shone with excitement as she looked around the place. "Stay close to me" her mother said gently, smiling at her.

As Ada looked around, something caught her attention. She saw a shelf filled with boxes of all sizes. "Mummy Everything looked so beautiful!" Ada said, her voice full of joy.

As they approached a section, she saw a box wrapped with a ribbon, "mummy look, these are boxes" she said proudly. Her mum smiled, "Yes Ada, it has the shape of a cube. A cube has six equal square faces.

Ada picked up another box, this one looked longer than the first one. "Mummy, is this a cube?" "No, it's a cuboid" the mum answered. A cuboid is longer than a cube. It has six equal rectangular faces. "Okay!" Ada said, nodding her head.

They moved to another shelf. Ada saw tall tins of milk, She touched it and smiled. "This one is round and tall, " she said. "What shape is it mummy?"

"That's a cylinder", her mum explained. Ada slowly turned the tin around, watching how smooth and round it looked. "A cylinder has two circular faces". Yes, said her mother.

One of the workers passed with a trolley full of oranges, she wanted to keep them in the fruits section. "I want oranges, can you buy some for me?" asked Ada. "Let's go to the fruit section then" said her mum.

As Ada was about to pick some oranges, one mistakenly fell out. The orange rolled, it kept rolling as Ada chased it. Finally she picked it and returned to her mum who was watching her from where she was to ensure she doesn't get missing.

Why did it roll like that", she asked, curious. Her mum smiled. "Because it's a sphere". A sphere has no flat faces, so it rolled easily. Ada giggled and gently put the orange in their shopping basket.

As they walked on, Ada saw ice cream in the freezer. She pointed excitedly. "Mummy look at that pointed shape!" She said jumping a little.

"That's a cone", her mum said. It has a flat circular base and a pointed top. Ada nodded happily. "Cone", she repeated feeling proud of herself.

As they checkout, Ada looked into their basket. "The box is a cube, the longer box is a cuboid, the milk tin is a cylinder, the orange is a sphere, the ice cream is a cone!" She said excitedly. Her mum clapped softly. "Well done! "
