Zuri was a young and curious hippo. She lived peacefully in a wide, beautiful river with her family.
Zuri was unlike other hippos who were always stayed in the water and nearby banks.
Zuri wanted to explore the world beyond.
Zuri was fascinated by the land, the distant hills, and the creatures that lived outside the river.
Her mother always warned her that while the river was safe, the land could be dangerous.
Still, Zuri's curiosity kept growing.
One morning, Zuri saw a flock of birds flying toward the hills. Inspired by their freedom, she decided to follow her desire for adventure.
Quietly and bravely, she stepped out of the river for the first time. She began exploring the land.
Everything felt new and exciting. Zuri loved the warm ground, the fresh air, and the unfamiliar surroundings.
As she journeyed further, Zuri met Monkey swinging through the trees.
Monkey asked Zuri where she was going. Zuri proudly said she wanted to explore the world.
Monkey warned her that not everything on land was friendly. Zuri continued on her path, determined to see more.
Soon, Zuri entered a field of tall grass. Suddenly, she heard a noise and became frightened. Lion appeared from the grass, and Zuri froze in fear.
Lion noticed she was far from her home and wondered why.
Although Zuri was scared, she still wanted to explore.
Instead of harming her, Lion told Zuri that while she was brave, she also needed wisdom. He advised her to return home before it became dark.
Realizing the danger she was in, Zuri quickly ran back toward the river.
When she arrived, she felt safe again and was relieved to see her mother.
Zuri explained everything that had happened. She admitted that although the world beyond is beautiful, she needed to be careful.
Zuri's mother gently reminded her that curiosity is good, but it must be balanced with caution and patience.
Zuri understood that she was not yet ready to explore the world on her own.
From that day, she remained curious but chose to stay safe.
