Pavi the peacock
Eric Ouma

Pavi the peacock lived in a green forest. He had bright, colorful feathers and loved to show them off. Every day, he spread his tail and said, “I am the most beautiful bird here.”
Nearby lived Sisi the sparrow. She was small and brown but

could fly very fast. One day, she said, “Pavi, you are beautiful, but can you fly well?”
Pavi laughed and ignored her.
Soon, a big storm came. The wind blew hard, and dark clouds filled the sky. All the animals had to move to a safe place

quickly. Sisi flew high and helped guide them.
Pavi tried to fly, but his heavy feathers slowed him down. He could not go far.
After the storm, Pavi felt sad. He realized beauty was not everything.
