One day, a poor farmer named Lumo approached the king, asking for mercy for his village, which was starving due to heavy taxes. The king laughed cruelly and ordered his guards to throw Lumo into the dungeon. But that night, the king had

a strange dream: a river of gold turned to mud, and his people vanished.
When he woke, the king realized his power meant nothing without his people. Humbled, he freed Lumo and promised to rule with justice.

Slowly, he changed, and the kingdom flourished again—but the people never forgot the days of Omukama Kiba’s cruelty.
