As the golden sun begins to peep, the thirsty animals awaken from their sleep. After a night of snoozing and snoring loudly, each animal wakes up and walks lightly. To the big blue lake, they start to arrive, let's count them all as the water comes alive!

One (l) snappy crocodile awakes from the shore, then let out a very loud sleepy ROARR!!

Two (2) tall giraffes drinking side by side.

Three (3) big buffaloes marching to the tide.

Four (4) birds flying over their head.

Five (5) antelopes drinking at the water's edge.

Talking to six (6) warthogs standing by the side.

As seven (7) zebras come running from behind.

Eight (8) green frogs live in the lake.

With nine (9) blue fish swimming awake.

But one scary lion wakes up late in the afternoon.

ROARS!! at the other animals for not waking him up soon.

Everyone runs away, scared of the lion. "Who wouldn't be? they say his teeth are made of iron!" said the scaredy warthog.

But the elephant, the birds, the fish and the frogs didn't run like the scaredy warthog, for they knew that the lion wasn't a beast with a sharpened tooth.
"He is just a big kitty and a sleepy head, he naps in the sun and dreams all day. And he wouldn't want it any other way" said the big elephant.
