A family lived on a farmland in the outskirts of Akosombo.

Due to their distance from the city, the mother of the house teaches her children to read everyday.

A mischief of mouse also found their way to stay in the shadows of the house where the family never noticed their presence.

Everyday, the golden doe (mother mouse) made sure to listen to the woman reading to her children.

After the reading session, the golden mouse would hop onto the table and read by itself.

After eating and packing leftover foods, the doe (mother mouse) will hurriedly go to its pups and narrate the story. This happened for several months.

Gradually, the doe (mother mouse) could read and she became extremely intelligent.

It began reading to its pups in an unbelievable manner.

"Mummy, can we read by ourselves too? Asked one of the pups. "Yes" the mother responded.

After several years of reading, the doe (mother mouse) decided to encourage other animals in the farm to learn to read so they could know more about the wider world.

The doe (Mother mouse) in the company of her pups met the animal community and spoke highly of why they should read and read to their children.

Most animals did not belive that a mouse could read. They rather expected the parrot to be the one who could read.

The Golden Mouse proved them wrong and read fluently in front of everyone. All the animals were in awe and clapped.

At home, the Golden Mouse began helping the family with basic household chores without their knowledge.

The mouse would clean dishes, clear the floor and many more.

One day, the youngest member of the family chanced upon the golden mouse undertaking some household chores.

He hurriedly ran to inform his mom, who came along but the doe had already gone into hiding.
