Where\\'s our Pirate Ship?
Lilly Kalibuku

This is the tale of brave pirates two,
sailor siblings with hearts so true.

1

Sailors Tumi and Tumelo so bold,
were swept away when storms took hold.

2

Dreaming of Captain Dad; and homeland
as they're stuck on golden sand

Help the pirates! Fill in the gap:
'To get home, they need a m _ p.'

"Squawk! Squawk! a parrot cries,
with a secret map of island skies."

3

X marks the paths both left and right,
can you trace the way before tonight?

Activity: Trace the line on the map or circle the X.

4

They march through jungle,
and see monkeys in a bundle
"Look Tumi," says Tumelo, "what a sight!",
at frogs leaping at great heights.

5

They follow the tracks
going in zigzags
They find a boat and a snake named Sam
says "Find red thingssss, that'ssss the plan!"

6

The waves go splash
and in a flash
the sharks appear,
count them quickly, no need to fear!

Activity: count the sharks.

7

The octopus waves its eight arms high,
and helps the little boat to fly.

"Thank you Mr. Octopus!" They wave goodbye.

8

But creak and crack, the boat goes down,
"Help us, friends!" they call around.

Dolphins jump with shining fins,
leading them home where celebration begins.

9

Captain Dad gave a cheer,
"My children are so brave and have no fear!"
