There were two girls named Chichi and Mirabel who met when they were just three years old.

They became best friends in nursery school and went to the same primary school.

1

They usually played games together, had sleepovers and talked about many things. Their parents also became friends.

They also did well in school and always fell among the top three in school. They always made their parents happy.

2

When they were 8 years old, Mirabel's parents told her that they were moving with her to Abuja for business, but she didn't want to say goodbye to Chichi. Chichi was sad when she heard the news, but she promised to keep in touch with her.

3

After Mirabel left, they still called each other on their parent's phones. They sometimes made video calls. They made sure to call each other on their birthdays and other special days like Christmas.

4

After two years, Mirabel travelled back to Lagos with her parents. She wanted to attend Chichi's 10th birthday party as a surprise because Chichi didn't know that she was around. Chichi's mum helped her to plan the surprise.

5

As a part of the surprise, Mirabel called Chichi to wish her a happy birthday. She told her to go outside for a surprise.

When she went outside, she so was excited to see Mirabel there that she ran to hug her.

6

Mirabel and Chichi had fun together during the party. After the party, Mirabel gave Chichi a phone as a gift so that they can always talk to each other.

That night, Chichi used the phone to talk to Mirabel and went to bed happily.
