Giogio and his family live in Asutuare, a fishing community in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He has a sister called Akosua.
Giogio turns five years today and his father bought him a birthday cake. Akosua, his elder sister is so excited for his brother's big day.
Daddy always took the whole family to new places everytime a member of the family celebrated their birthday.
Mr. Odei, their father promised them a trip to the beach to also mark Giogio's big day.
Giogio and Akosua could not hide their excitement as this was their first visit to the beach.
Akosua is almost eight years old and expects to have a wonderful birthday soon.
She had already lost some teeth and the tooth fairy replaced the fallen tooth with a coin.
Giogio is yet to loose a tooth. He had never received a coin from the tooth fairy.
He said to himself "now that I am five years old, my teeth will fall and I will receive a coin from the tooth fairy.
Today is Saturday and daddy is taking us to the beach, said Akosua. Giogio was excited that he could have his first swim in the salty vast sea.
At the beach, mummy took care of Linda, Giogio's little sister whilst daddy also watched Giogio and Akosua take their first swim in the shores of the sea.
They built sand castles and looked for crabs as it is in their cartoon movies.
Whilst swimming, Giogio was hit by a strong wave of the sea water. He fell and forcefully lost a shaky lower tooth.
Giogio ran to his dad in tears. "Daddy, Daddy, I fell and lost my shaky tooth. But the sea swept it away" he said.
Daddy and Giogio went back to where his tooth fell in search for the fallen tooth but could not find it.
With the next wave of sea in their direction, a spiraled and beautiful sea shell was blown to Giogio's feet.
Daddy said, "Giogio, look, the sea brought you a beautiful shell in place of your fallen tooth. You will not get a coin but the sea gave you a beautiful gift".
Giogio and Akosua smiled and went on to have fun.
