St Vincent's Coding Champions
iSchoolAfrica Education Trust and St Vincent School for the Deaf

The learners of St Vincent School for the Deaf started their Wednesday coding club session with a motivational talk by past pupil, David Silva.

David was joined by Choolwe Muleya. David and Choolwe are two inspirational app-developers.

1

David and Choolwe reminded the learners how being Deaf does not limit them, and that they can change the world.

David and Choolwe motivated and inspired the learners in SASL. It was a great way to start the coding club.

2

All the young coders then went outside and got instructions from Cameron, the Coding facilitator from iSchoolAfrica.

Cameron explained the Swift Coding activity to the learners.

3

Teacher Aquila from the school, then gave the learners some tips on their coding activity and told them to have fun.

Everyone was very excited and the activity began!

4

Learners were coding, problem solving, collaborating and using their digital-innovative skills to create human-coding journeys.

Learners used amazing Apple iPad technology, had fun and learnt new coding skills.

St Vincent School for the Deaf has very talented coding champions!
