Benny the bear loved hugs. He gave hugs to his toys, his pillow, and even his favorite tree!

One morning, Benny woke up and stretched his paws. Today, he said, "I want to give the biggest hug ever!"

Benny went to find his best friend, Lucy the Squirrel. "Lucy, will you help me find someone who needs a big hug?"

They met Max the mouse. "Do you need a hug?" Benny asked.
"No, thank you," said Max. "I'm busy picking apples."

Next, they saw Penny the porcupine. "Would you like a hug?" Benny asked carefully.
Penny giggled, "Maybe a wave instead!"

Benny started to feel a little sad. "What if no one wants my big hug? "
Lucy smiled, "Don't worry, someone will."

Just then, they heard sniffing. It was Oliver the owl. "I feel lonely," he said.
Benny opened his arms wide. "I've got a hug just for you! "

Benny gave Oliver the biggest, warmest hug ever. "Thank you," said Oliver. "That was the best hug in the world."
