The Wise Fisherman
Henry Kwaku Apau

It was a pitch-dark night. Mr. Adomako, a fisherman, dragged his net ashore.

To his surprise, he found a strange bottle caught in his net.

1

Curious, he opened the bottle.

Inside, he found a note. As he began to read it, something strange happened.

2

Suddenly, the words in the note turned into thick smoke!

The smoke grew bigger and bigger until it became a giant.

3

The giant roared, "I have sworn to kill anyone who reads the note!"

The fisherman stepped back in fear.

4

Thinking quickly, the fisherman said, "I don't believe you came from that tiny bottle. Prove it!"

5

The giant was eager to prove himself.

He turned into smoke once again and squeezed back into the bottle.

6

As soon as the giant was inside, the fisherman quickly sealed the bottle shut.

7

Without wasting time, he threw the bottle back into the sea.

"That was a wise decision!" he said, smiling to himself.
