The Missing Books
Prince Sarfo

Alex was a quiet but observant student with a love for reading. He attended St Peter's School.

The school library had a collection of very interesting books. The books had been missing, and no one knew who had taken them.

1

Alex overheard a conversation between two teachers. They were discussing the strange disappearance of the books.

Alex had a keen interest in reading. He decided to find out who was behind the missing books.

2

Alex began to talk to a few students, and one student gave him a clue.

The student saw someone leaving the library with a big stack of books. This was before the theft was discovered.

3

In the library, Alex found a small scrap of paper in a corner, partially crumpled.

It looked like a list of books, with checkmarks next to some titles. He was now sure that the theft had been planned.

4

Alex spent the next few days investigating. He quietly kept an eye on the school's hallways, classrooms, and library.

Soon, he started to piece together information. The thief seemed to be someone who enjoyed reading books. Alex spotted a potential suspect.

5

Alex quietly approached a student who had been acting suspiciously.

He did not accuse Sam outright but asked if he knew anything about the missing books.

6

Sam admitted that he and others took the books.

"It was not out of malice. It is because we could not afford to buy them. We just wanted to read them in secret and then return them," Sam explained.

7

Alex talked to the School Principal about the situation. Sam and his friends were asked to return the books.

After listening to their explanation, the teachers decided not to punish Sam and his friends. Instead, they advised them to use the books in the library.
