The forest was experiencing a severe drought. The animals had no food, and everyone was struggling to survive.
One day, a hungry tiger was searching for food when it accidentally fell into a deep hole.
The tiger tried to climb out but could not. It roared for help, but no animal dared to come near.
Then, a kind little rat passing by, saw the tiger trapped in the hole.
The generous rat decided to help. It lowered a climbing rope into the hole and tied the other end to a strong palm tree.
"Hold on tight!" the rat called. The tiger grabbed the rope and climbed out.
The tiger was finally free! But instead of thanking the rat, it growled.
"I am still hungry. I will eat you!" The poor rat was terrified.
A clever rabbit had been watching from a distance.
It quickly ran to the scene and said, "I don't believe a small rat could save such a big tiger! Show me how it happened."
Angry at the rabbit's doubt, the tiger jumped back into the hole.
"Watch! I will climb out again," the tiger boasted.
As soon as the tiger was back in the hole, the rabbit and the rat quickly ran away.
They left the tiger trapped once again.
Days passed, and the tiger became weaker and weaker. In the end, it died from hunger.
The rat expressed gratitude to the rabbit for saving its life. The two friends learned that kindness should be met with gratitude.
