Akofa was an orphan who lived with her aunt at Asempaneye.
She lost her parents at a very young age and her aunt agreed to take care of her.

Akofa's aunt had no child of her own but treated her badly.
She made wake up early to do the household chores and sometimes starved her.

One day Akofa felt very hungry and she decided to go to the forest to look for fruits to eat.

She did not find any food to eat.

Akofa decided to go back home.
Suddenly, she heard someone shouting for help. It was an old lady who had injured her leg.

Akofa helped the old lady to get up and she took her to her house.

At the old lady's house, Akofa helped her to treat her wound.
Akofa also cooked some food for the old lady to eat and she also had some to eat.

Akofa continued to visit the old lady and cooked for her until she was fit.
They became good friends and Akofa never starved again.
