Asempapa is a remote village. There lived a girl named Adowa Asamoa. She lived with her parents and six elder brothers, she was the youngest child. Adowa went to school and had a friend named Afia Mansa.

1

Everyday after school, Adowa and Afia would go to the forest and play with each other. One day, before they left the school, their class teacher told the class a story.

2

The teacher's story was about a magical place where trees grow tall enough to reach the sky and nothing ever died. There, humans and animals where friends and lived happily together.

3

Until one day, some hunters tricked an animal and killed it. When the other animals heard this, they fought the humans and kicked them out of the place. So the humans never entered the place ever again.

4

Then Afia raised her hand and asked "Where is the place Sir?" He answered "Deep in the forest ." Can humans still go there? She added. I would love to visit.

5

Her teacher responded, "it is a scary place now, and no human has attempted to go there". Afia imagined having her own forest in the backyard of their house. "I can create my own secret garden then." She added.

6

After school, Adowa and Afia decided to create their little secret garden where they could have friendly animals to themselves. They began weeding and planting vegetables like tomatoes, pepper and other little trees in their backyard.

7

After a few weeks their little secret garden became an abode for little insects, squirrels and little harmless animals. They played and spent time in their garden after their home chores. Sometimes, they read interesting books there.
