Rooster and Toad

Once upon a time, Rooster and Toad traveled together.

They went to attend a wedding ceremony in a nearby village.

1

They were moving gently and quietly. Suddenly, the weather changed, and it began to rain.

"Let us find a place to shelter ourselves from the rain," Rooster suggested.

2

Toad objected strongly.

"No! I don't need to shelter myself from the rains. I am not afraid of rain. In fact, I enjoy getting wet all the time."

3

Rooster pleaded again and again. Toad refused to listen because getting rained on did not bother him.

Rooster decided to look for a solution to avoid being rained on. He ran away.

4

As Rooster ran, he came across an empty house. By then, the rain was heavy.

Rooster ran into that house for shelter. Toad watched Rooster in a mocking way.

5

The rain continued for a long time. It was becoming unbearable for Toad too.

At this time, everywhere was becoming flooded.

6

Suddenly, Toad started crying. He regretted why he had not followed Rooster's advice. It was too late to change his mind.

Before Toad could run to the house where Rooster was hiding, the flood water swept him into a big river.

7

From the big river, Toad was carried further to a big sea. He was eaten up by a big shark.

That was how Toad lost his life.
