In a village called Bem, in the Sardauna Hills, men and animals once lived together peacefully. The village was named Bem because of the peace that existed there.
Years passed and men cut down trees everyday. The rains stopped falling. The village became drier and drier.
Men tilled the soil and planted crops. But the crops dried up and died. They did not yield much at harvest time. Men were hungry.
The animals too could not find food. Grasses and foliage also dried up. Every animal was hungry.
Men set traps to catch animals for food.
Quarrels broke out. Animals chased men about the village.
One night, all the animals held a meeting. They agreed to leave Bem village. Only other animals that helped men to attack them remained.
The animals settled in another village far away from Bem. Men called that village, a jungle. They called the animals living there wild animals.
