Long ago, in a forest far away, lived Little Bear. One sunny morning when he was playing, Little Bear found a tiny seed.
He was so excited that he took the seed home to Mama Bear, and they planted it in the garden. Patting the soil, Little Bear said, "Oh, I can't wait for my flower to grow!"
On Monday morning, Little Bear woke up and went to look at the soil. He was annoyed when he saw no difference. "Why isn't it growing?" he wondered.
Little Bear's school teacher gave the class a Math problem. He tapped his paws on his desk and wished the problem would solve itself. Miss Gigi the Giraffe told Little Bear, "Have patience, the answer will come."
Later that day, Little Bear was playing with some friends on the monkey bars. He couldn't wait for his turn, but his friend Monkey was taking too long. Little Bear screamed, "Hurry up!"
Suddenly, Miss Gigi's words echoed through his head: "Be patient, Little Bear." So, he took a deep breath and quietly waited. His turn came and Little Bear realised that waiting wasn't that bad. It made his playtime more fun.
On Tuesday morning, Little Bear looked out his window and checked the soil again. He sighed when he saw no signs of anything growing. "I'll try to be patient," he muttered sadly.
At lunchtime, hungry Little Bear joined the queue at the cafeteria. The line moved slowly. Little Bear frowned. "If I stay calm, I'll get my food soon," he thought. So, he waited, and he was proud for not getting upset.
After school, Little Bear waited for the bus to go home and watched dark clouds form in the sky. "I don't want to wait! It's taking forever," he thought as he started to walk home.
Halfway home, it started raining! Wet and shivering, he realised it would have been better to wait. "Patience keeps me safe too," he thought.
By Sunday, Little Bear's patience paid off when he saw a tiny sunflower in the ground. He yelled, "It's growing!" He realised that patience lets wonderful things happen.
From that day on, Little Bear remembered that patience brings good things in life.
