One day a farmer called Njoroge was at his farm with his dog called Poppy. He was looking at his produce in the farm and wanted to weed.

He started weeding the farm with his dog sitting near him. His wife named Selina brought him breakfast, because he had risen up early to head for the farm.

Njoroge loved his wife. When Selina came, he stopped working and they started telling each other stories after taking breakfast.

After they finished taking breakfast, he continued weeding hard until the sun was overhead. He was sweating profusely from the intense heat and he could not continue digging.

Selina his wife was still in the farm sitting on a big stone. Njoroge went to rest again near his wife as she had brought food for lunch.

In the blink of an eye, Poppy had spotted a rabbit on the farm and he jumped up and took chase. Njoroge was startled and decided to throw his hoe at the rabbit but he missed.

His hoe broke into two and he could no longer weed his farm, he looked at it in disbelief. Selina was disappointed and she looked at him wondering, their day had an unexpected turn.
