The Hunter

Once upon a time, there lived a hunter, his wife and they had one son. They had spent many days without having food.

1

He went into the forest to find food for his family, but his traps did not catch any animal. Except for one that had caught an animal.

2

The hunter was filled with joy at the sight of the catch a big giraffe. This will feed his family for weeks, thought the hunter.

3

He thought of a method he would use to kill the giraffe from a safe distance. He decided on using his spear to stab the animal in the heart.

4

He was too excited and when he threw the spear he missed the giraffe and instead cut the rope freeing it. Oh no! What had he done.

5

He quickly ran to pick up his spear to take another shot. The giraffe however broke into a run, almost trampling him.

6

In a dramatic twist, the hunter tried clinging onto the giraffe's tail but he could not hold on tightly and the giraffe escaped.

7

He was disheartened and regretted the stupid thing he had done and wondered how he was going to face his hungry family.
