Lebo gets home from school and looks for something to read. What can she read? She has read all her books at home. She has read all the books Teacher Pam gave her. What will she read?

Lebo asks Mom, "What can I read?" Mom is busy working. "I do not know, Lebo. Ask Dad."

Lebo feels sad. She goes to look for Dad. He is in the garden.

Dad is busy planting some seeds. "Dad, I need something new to read. What can I read?"

"I do not know Lebo. I am busy. Go and ask Gogo, she is in the kitchen." says Dad.

Gogo is making tea.

"Gogo, I need something new to read. Can you help me?" Lebo asks.

"Lebo, I do not know how to read. I can not help you. Go outside and play!"

Lebo is sad. She wants to read.

She goes outside to play and sees her friend Pumi.

"Lebo, why are you sad?" Pumi asks.

"I want to read but no one can help me find new books!"

Pumi smiles. "Do not be sad, Lebo. I can help you. Do you know what the library is?" she asks.

"No, I do not. What is a library?" Lebo asks.

"A library is a place filled with lots and lots of books to read. You can even take some books home to read and then bring them back and take some more books!" Pumi tells Lebo.

Lebo smiles. "Where can I find a library? I really want to read!"

"Come with me, we can go together!" says Pumi.

Lebo and Pumi walk to the library together.

Lebo cannot believe how many books are at the library! She is so happy. Pumi and Lebo greet Mama Joy, the librarian.

"Hello children, Mama Joy says. Can I help you find some books to read?"

"Yes please!" they shout.

Mama Joy helps Pumi and Lebo find some books.

"Take these books home to read and bring them back next week and we can find some more" Mama Joy says.

Lebo and Pumi are so happy and walk back home.

"Thank you Pumi" Lebo says, "I can not wait to read my books!"

"We can even read some books together!" Pumi says.

Pumi and Lebo sit down under a tree and read. They can not wait to go back next week.
