Colourful fruit

Today is my first day at school. Mum has packed me a lunch and helped me dress.

1

My sister and brother laughed while mum handed me my lunch box.

2

I walked to school , got in class and the whole class greeted the teacher.

3

Break time came quickly. We sat and ate our lunch. I was about to open my lunch box when my sister and brother came.

4

"Did you see it yet?" asked my sister. "See what?" i asked.

5

Mum dressed you in a red sweater to match the fruit she gave you.

6

"That's not true." I say to my sister. She shrugs her shoulders and walks away.

7

The strawberries were sweet and soft, with seeds I could feel when rubbing on the skin.

8

The next day I got up for school and mum helped to dress me. Then I went to school.

9

"I wonder if what my sister said about my mu dressing me as my fruit."

10

Break time came and I was about to open my lunch box just then my sister and brother came. "Green sweater? I think its grapes today!" says my sister smiling.

11

I look in my lunch box. 6 juicy GREEN grapes. My sister was right!. "Why does mum do this?" I ask. "She does it the days of your first time at school." says my sister.

12

The grapes were crisp and had a very smooth outside to it. I loved it. But I would love to ask mum about this.

13

When I got home I asked my mom why she dresses me in the colours of my fruit that she packs in and she said "It's fun! Plus I want you to learn your colours and your fruits at the same time. I thought this would be a fun way."

14

Today mum dressed me in yellow. I wonder what fruit she packed in for me today!.
