In Makunu village, there lived Tembo and his wife Sarah.
They had two children, Tom aged twelve years and Ammy, who was nine years.
The children attended Faulu primary school. Tom was in grade eight while Ammy was in grade six.
They loved each other and played together at all times.
Tom was employed as a security guard. Sarah sold vegetables at a grocery.
Tom and Sarah worked hard to provide for their family's needs.
Sarah always woke up early.
She would prepare breakfast for the family and get the children ready for school.
Tom and Ammy used to walk to school since it was not very far from their home.
One day they were walking back home from school.
They heard noises and loud screams coming from a nearby homestead.
Out of curiosity, the two children decided to find out what was happening. They were astonished to see a house on fire.
Many people had gathered to put out the fire.
The fire had engulfed the house and was spreading very fast. One of the villagers called the fire station.
Within a short time the fire fighters arrived at the scene and helped to put out the fire.
