Thabo, Thabang and the clever monkey

One morning while eating breakfast Thabo and Thabang father asked them to go to the next village to send some fruits to their grandmother.

They both listened to their father and promised that they will not talk to strangers.

They pick the basket full of fruits covered in a pink cloth. They started to walk.

On their way a monkey came out of the trees. Hey you two, they got a fright and screemed.

The monkey said to Thabo and Thabang let me see what is in there then I will pass. They showed the monkey.

They monkey grabbed the basket and started eating the fruits. They try to stop the monkey, the monkey carries on eating. Thabo remembers that their father told them not to talk to anyone and tells Thabang.

Thabang screemed, somebody help! a dog nearby heard him and run to them. The dog jumps to the monkey grabs its hand and the monkey screemed I am sorry, I was so hungry.

They go back home so sad. They explained to their father, he said to them what did I told you.
