Puno was a very kind girl, who loved spending time in the garden. She remembered how she used to work in the garden with her grandma. It was always fun to listen to grandma's tales while tendering flowers and watching butterflies.
Puno felt sad because now that her grandma was gone, there was no one to tell her tales or read her stories. ' I must find someone to read me funny stories,' she said to her self. Puno had an idea.
When Puno got to school, she went straight to her teacher's desk. ' Miss Reggie, would you please read a story for me in the garden this Saturday? ', asked Puno. Miss Reggie couldn't say no. She read a story titled : ' A hero up there'.
The story was about a girl, just like Puno, who missed her grandma. She felt like she was living in her childhood again. She was happy that Miss Reggie agreed to read for her. The colorful butterflies were great to watch.
When it was time to go, Miss Reggie said they'd meet again next Saturday at the garden to read more stories. Puno was very excited, she hugged Miss Reggie tightly. On Monday, Miss Reggie found a note written: 'You're my hero' on her desk.
