John believed the grasshopper while it was leading him to the monster because it wanted to protect its family. John and the grasshopper crossed mountains and mountains, still trying to get money.
Once upon a time, there was a boy named John who liked catching grasshoppers. One day, he met a miraculous grasshopper that led him to the mountains. It told John that there was a lot of money in the mountains, and now he is rich. Suddenly, John saw the grasshopper grow in size, and it became his lift. They went to the mountain where his parents had warned him not to go because there was a very huge, scary monster.
The miraculous grasshopper asked John what was inside his bag. Then John told the grasshopper that he brought clothes because his parents told him that the mountains are very cold. John remembered his parents' warning about the monster. The grasshopper lied to him and said the monster was not around.
John felt the place was very cold and wore extra clothes. He wondered why it seemed like the coldness was getting worse. It was the monster getting closer and closer to him. John screamed, "I am dead today! Tell my parents I am dead today." The grasshopper ran away.
The monster shouted, "Do not die before I kill you. You are not yet dead!"
"I am dead!" screamed John.
"You are not dead!" screamed the grasshopper from its hiding place.
"Another monster!" John screamed.
"Who is there?" asked the monster.
"Nobody," replied the grasshopper.
The grasshopper tricked the monster into thinking it could save John.
"I am hiding behind the banana tree," said the grasshopper.
"There is no banana tree. Where are you hiding?" shouted the monster.
"Sorry, I was mistaken. Bring me a banana, and I will come out."
Then the monster screamed and roared, then said, "Okay, then I will get you a bunch of bananas."
"I am dead," cried John.
The monster left.
"You are not dead," the grasshopper responded.
John screamed, "Another monster!"
"No, I am not a monster," the grasshopper replied.
"Oh! okay," shivering, the boy said, "I saved you, leave my family alone," claimed the grasshopper.
John and the grasshopper became best friends from that day.
