It was a monday morning and a school day. The sun was shinning. The skies were very blue and the village birds were singing and dancing in the sky. It seemed like it was going to be a good day.

Naledi and Jabu were excited to go to school. It was the first day after the holidays. Jabu was outside, waiting for Naledi to finish eating her breakfast so that they could go together.

As they were walking to school, the blue skies suddenly changed. The clouds turned dark and the sun disappeared into the dark clouds.

They looked at each other with shock and they continued to walk. As they were walking, it started, drops were falling from the sky and then more and more, it started to rain hard.

Naledi and Jabu ran back to the house, they did not want to get more wet from the rain. They got to the house but their faces were frowned. They were feeling sad because they wanted to go to school so badly.

Naledi's mother asked them 'why are you sad my children?'
they responded 'we want to go to school, we missed our friends and our teacher but the rain is stopping us from going to school'

Her mother said 'A rainy day cannot stop you from enjoying your day. you can still have fun in the rain too'.
she gave them an umbrella and told them to g to school.

Naledi and Jabu left the house wearing an umbrella and they started singing and dancing in the rain.

As they were singing, the rain stopped and suddenly, the rainbow appeared. It was very beautifulwith all its colors. The skies were blue again and the sun was shining.

They were so happy and they arrived at their school and they had a lovely day playing with their friends.
