1

Once upon a time, in a cosy house lived a little boy named Nicholas, his father, and a black dog.
Nicholas was four years old, with short black hair and Nicholas's father was a tall man with a funny face. But what made Nicholas unique was his love for snakes.

2

Nicholas's father owned a black dog named spotty but, there was a problem.
The problem is that Spotty was a playful black dog and Nicholas felt uneasy around it. Whenever spotty came near, Nicholas would run away.

3

Nicholas's father noticed his son's discomfort around spotty. He wanted to make Nicholas happy.
He decided to surprise him with a new pet. He brought home a brown cat named brownie.

4

Nicholas was not excited about having a cat. He thought brownie looked too fluffy and was not interested in playing with him. The only animal he wished he had was a snake.

5

Feeling sad, Nicholas finally told his father the truth. He did not want a dog or a cat. He wanted a snake! But his father explained that snakes could be dangerous as pets. He suggested other animals like cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and more.

6

Nicholas learned that animals that could be kept as pets brought joy and were safe for everyone. With his father's help, Nicholas realized that he could still find a perfect pet, even if it was not a snake.
