At 08:00 am in the Grade 3 classroom of Sibisi Primary School, the learners sat eagerly in their seats, filled with anticipation for the teacher's announcement.
"Good Morning grade 3s, the school have organized a trip to the zoo which is in two days to come", announced the teacher.

It is afterschool, Sam and Kevin are heading home.
"I am so excited about this trip", said Sam. "I cannot wait to see Lions, snakes, crocodiles and the big elephant", said Kevin. It is going to be a joyful day indeed.

On the morning of the zoo trip, Grade 3 learners of Sibisi Primary School eagerly waited at the school entrance.
"Mom, do you think Sam is going to make it on time?", asked Kevin. "We'll see my boy".
Sam quickly arrived, smiling as he approached Kevin.

The children arrived at the zoo safely and their teacher guided them on an animal tour. " oh no! I forgot my lunchbox at home, cried Sam." Do not worry my friend, I will share my lunch with you. Sam felt happy and relieved.

Kevin had a lunchbox with a ten-piece chocolate bar, two packets of chips, and five slices of peanut butter bread. He split the chocolate into two bars of five pieces each and shared one packet of chips. " ooh no! how are we going to share the five slices of bread equally? " asked Kevin.

After some time, Kevin remembered what he has been taught in one of his math lessons. I know! I know! jumped Kevin with excitement. He kept two slices for himself and gave Sam two slices as well. Then, he divided the last slice into two halves, taking one and giving Sam the other half.

"Thank you so much for sharing your lunch with me, you are a good friend", said Sam.
" You are welcome my friend, remember I am because you are.", replied Kevin.
They both Shared a warm hug.
