It was a Monday morning and a school day. The sun was shining and the skies were blue. The village birds were singing and seems like it's going to be a good day.

Naledi was excited to go to school since it was the first day of school after the holidays. Outside was her friend Jabu. He also could not wait to go to school and he was waiting for Naledi to finish eating so they can go together.

Naledi had finished preparing and ate her breakfast. It was time for them to go. As they were walking to school, the blue skies started changing ,the clouds were turning dark and the shining sun had disappeared into the clouds.

They looked at each other with shock but they continued walking. As they were walking it started, drops started falling from the sky and then more and more and it started to rain.

Naledi and Jabu ran back to the house they didn't want to get wet from the rain. They got inside the house but their faces were frowned, they were feeling sad and they wanted to go to school so badly.

Naledi's mother asked them 'why are you looking sad?' they said that it's because it's raining outside and they want to go to school, they miss playing with their friends at school and their teacher too.

Her mother then said "A rainy day cannot stop you from enjoying your day, you can still have fun in the rain too". She gave them an umbrella and told them to go to school.

Naledi and Jabu left the house wearing an umbrella and they started singing and dancing in the rain.

'Under the coconut tree'
'Going to school together'
'Waiting and waiting for you'

As they were singing, the rain stopped and suddenly a rainbow appeared. It was beautiful with all its colors, the skies were blue again and the sun was shining again.

They were so happy and they arrived at their school. They had a lovely day playing with their friends.
