Kelly lives in a small, beautiful home with her mom and grandma. She often doesn't take responsibility for what she does. One sunny day, something difficult happens to her. Will this make Kelly change her behavior? Let's find out!

Kelly's mom calls her for breakfast. Kelly goes to the kitchen with her hair down. But her mom is upset and asks why Kelly didn't close the kitchen window after dinner.

Kelly looks down at her feet, feeling ashamed. She has an idea. "Mom, I can explain. Grandma's lullaby made me forget." Oh no, Kelly doesn't want to tell the truth.

"Kelly, don't avoid responsibility; it's not right," says Kelly's grandmother. Kelly finishes breakfast and leaves for school, leaving her mom shocked.

Kelly and Betty play on the sunny school playground. Kelly proudly tells Betty how she ran away from her mother in the morning, but Betty disapproves. Kelly suggests playing hide and seek at the library, pulling Betty along.

Mrs. Mona watches learners near the library. There are shelves of books and bean bags. Kelly knocks over a stack of books. Kelly and Betty are shocked. Mrs. Mona hears the noise. She looks worried.

Mrs. Mona sees the books on the floor. Betty steps forward. She takes the blame and apologizes. Mrs. Mona comforts Betty. She thanks her for being honest. Kelly feels guilty. She is afraid to speak up. She watches silently. Betty and Mrs. Mona clean up. Kelly feels sad.

Later at night, Kelly can't sleep. She feels very guilty. Her grandmother notices. She enters Kelly's room. She says that taking responsibility is smart and kind. Kelly feels happy and makes a decision.

The next morning, Kelly goes to school to fix things. In class, Kelly talks to her teacher. Mrs. Mona is surprised. Kelly admits she knocked over the books. Mrs. Mona listens and understands.

Kelly and Mrs. Mona go to the library. Betty is waiting and feels nervous. They clean up the books together. Kelly feels better. She knows she did the right thing. She is thankful for Mrs. Mona's help. Kelly decides to always be responsible.
