Nnome is a town in a farming community where Agya Adomako and his wife Maame Esi lived. Agya Adomako was a farmer who most depended on him. Nnome experienced a great drought and this brought about famine to the people of the town.

1

The people of Nnome believed that they had sinned against the gods which is why they were sufferings. Others also blame their King because they see him as wicked. The elders of the town

consulted the gods and it was revealed that the people mistakenly accused someone as a thief in a market some years back and the woman cursed the land.  The god mentions her name as Maame Odiasempa.

3

The elders of the town started to search for the woman. The name Odiasempa was not familiar in Nnome. The ancestors of the name came from Nkwanta about fifty miles away from

4

Nnome. Agya Adomako led the elders to Nkwanta. When they arrived at the town, they went to the chief palace. Why are you here? Asked the chief linguist.  We are here, to look for Maame

5

Odiasempa! Replied Agya Adomako. The linguist looked worried and asked the elders. ‘’ which of the Odiasempa? What has she done?   We are looking for Maame Odiasempa that used to trade

6

at Nnome! Agya Adomako answered. He continued, ‘’Our people accused her of being a thief, so we are to apologize to her’’. We have heard you. The linguist led the elders to the house of

7

Maame Odiasempa. When they arrived at the house, they met a young woman. ‘’ we are looking for Maame Odiasempa’’. She has traveled. replied the young woman. When? Asked Agya

8

Adomako. ‘Five years ago’ the young woman said. The woman showed them where she had traveled to. The next day they continue their journey to find Maame Odiasempa.

9

They finally arrived at the land of success where Maame Odiasempa was.  When they saw her she was in a house which was made up of gold, she sells a lot of items to many

10

customers. The elders apologize to her and she agrees to go back to Nnome to overturn the curse. Agya Adomako and his family followed Maame Odiasempa to the land of success. The land was full of happiness and faithfulness.
