Once in a village called Dajin Ruga, there was Mother Hen and four chicks.
One day, Mother Hen decided to go out to look for food.
She warned her chicks not to go out or open the door for strangers.
Mother Hen repeated her warning before stepping out.
"There is a wicked black cat called Buzu-Buzu. If you go out or open the door for strangers, Buzu-Buzu might see you and eat you up."
As soon as Mother Hen left, Buzu-Buzu came calling.
"Open the door, I have gifts for you."
One of the chicks was called Ɗan Tsugau. She was very stubborn. The other three remembered their Mother's warning and refused to open the door.
Ɗan Tsugau disobeyed and went to open for Buzu-Buzu.
As soon as Ɗan Tsugau stepped out, Buzu-Buzu jumped onto it and caught it by the neck.
He headed to the forest with it. And that is how Ɗan Tsugau was eaten up by Buzu-Buzu.
When Mother Hen returned home, one of the remaining three chicks rushed to her.
Mother Hen learned about what had happened. She was very sad.
Mother Hen and her three chicks were sad to lose Ɗan Tsugau. Mother told her three remaining chicks, "Do you see why you should always obey my instructions?"
The chicks drew closer to their Mother.
