Do you know that our dreams to be good and successful people can come true? It may not be very easy, but if we are hardworking and believe in ourselves, we can work to make our dreams come true. Do you believe it? Zamu believed it.
Zamu was an orphan. Her mother died shortly after she was born and her father died when she was just three from an illness. She had to live with her uncle who made her hawk oranges from a very young age. He refused to send her to school.
She made friends with other children who sold on the streets. Some of those children even lived on the streets. One day, she met some young people who changed her life forever. They were from the We For Children Foundation.
The young people from the foundation played some games with them. Zamu asked a lot of interesting questions. When they found out that she was not in school, they were surprised because she was very smart. They decided to send her to school.
Her uncle sent her out of the house because she went to school in the mornings. The foundation adopted her. She was a very serious pupil and was well loved by her teachers and other pupils. She worked very hard at her studies every year.
She wanted to become a doctor so she could treat people who were sick and not let them die as her parents did. To achieve this, she began to study scientific experiments. She was very determined to be a good doctor. Her hardwork paid off.
Few years later, Zamu went to the university to study medicine. She graduated as the best student and became a doctor. She was very compassionate and took good care of her patients. Zamu did it! She achieved her dreams and so can you.
