In Upendo school, there lived a teacher who was called Teacher Irene. She was caring, loving and very knowledgeable.

During breaks, she would hang out with students near the apple tree teaching them life skills.

She taught grade seven. Her class used to perform very well. She encouraged her learners to be discplined and to respect their teachers and their school leaders too.

A boy named John was very indiscplined. He would not listen to the teachers' instructions. He was disobedient, lazy and was always at the bottom of his class. He refused to participate in any group work.

By and by he started using drugs and even introduced two of his friends to the use of drugs. A fellow student saw them and reported to Teacher Irene. she was very dissapointed and cautioned other students from joining the gang.

Teacher Irene reported the matter to the Headteacher who then instructed her to summon the two boys who were partners in crime with John. When they came to the office, they double crossed John.

The Headteacher called the police. When the police came, they arrested john for abusing and peddling drugs.The whole school watched in simpathy. John tried to call for help but everyone turned him a deaf ear.

John was led away by the police and taken to court. He was charged of using and peddling illegal drugs. He was jailed for five years in a borstal institution.The two boys swore never to use drugs again.
