A library is a place where books are kept. Libraries have existed for centuries, dating from ancient Egypt. Books were in a different format than what we have today.

Regardless of the type of book, all books need to kept the same way in a library.

If you love reading books, then you should learn how to take care of books in the library.

1

Library Rules

Like the classroom, the library has a set of rules. Rules are meant to help us keep the books safe so that our young brothers and sisters can also use them.

Rules also help us keep our library clean and it teaches us to be responsible learners.

2

As we experience the world through books, we should know that:

1. A book must not be held with wet hands. If you open and read a book with wet hands, you will tear the book.

2. Books must be kept away from food. If you eat your food when reading you will spill your food on your book.

3. Books must not be tossed when done reading. Throwing around books in the library may damage the spine of the book.

4. Make sure to return the book when it is due.

3

Reading will open up your world.

You can learn about different countries and their culture through books.

You can also use books to learn a new language. You can learn a new skill by reading books explaining.

So if you want to learn a new language, check in the library. You can also learn new words in reading books.

Make sure to get a book that is of your age. If you can read at least three to five words in a sentence then you can take that book home to finish it off.

4

Every library should have a librarian. A librarian is a professional man or woman who is skilled at managing the library.

The librarian can conduct a library tour to new library members. Next time you visit the library, ask the librarian some questions about the library.

The librarian is very helpful in the library, they can conduct library activities like story-telling sessions.

Librarians can show you were to find books in the library.
