Fear of public speaking

There was a big music festival at St. Paul academy Meru. All pupils were excited to attend. Different performers had prepared different games, poems and traditional songs. The day was very colorful.

Wandia was one of the pupils that were to participate in the music festival. She was very happy and excited. She had prepared a very nice poem to recite Infront of all pupils, teachers and judges.

When her time to recite the poem came, she was called. She entered the hall silently and stood Infront of the audience." Hmmh" Wandia cleared her throat.

When she looked around the hall, she saw very many pupils and teachers looking at her. Some were cheering and clapping for her. Then the hall went silent to allow her recite the poem, but Wandia froze when she saw how full the hall was.

She started shaking in fear and sweating. She could not remember a single line from the poem. She later run out of the hall crying. She went and hid at her class.

Her teacher Miss Mwenda went and talked to her telling her it was okay and she will do better the next time. Wandia stood up and stopped crying. Then Miss Mwenda told her she will help her overcome the fear of speaking in public.
