A day at the farm

Kawira is a grade six pupil at Conquerors primary school, Meru. She lives with her parents in Meru town. She has never been to a farm.

One day Kawira and her parents visited her Aunt who lives at Shikajembe village. Her aunt has a very big farm of maize, beans and cassava.

Kawira's aunt took them to the farm to assist her at the farm. When they got to the farm, they were asked to remove their shoes and take pangas and fork jembe.

"There are many fruits in this farm" Kawira said.
"Yes, would you like to pick some from the tree?" Kamau asked.
They went to pick some mangoes as the played in the farm.

They also took some mangoes to their parents.
When the finished farming they went home. Kawira was very happy to have spent a day in the farm. She also asked her father to buy a farm for her.
