Maryam lived with her parents in Damaturu at Yobe State.

She did not like going to school. She wanted to marry.

One day, her teacher called her to the office.

She advised Maryam to be serious with her studies.

"When you are educated, you marry a better husband ". He said.

Maryam changed her mind. She now wanted to be a doctor.

After 7 years in the University, Maryam became a medical doctor.

Maryam married the Governor's of Yobe State. He made her teacher a Commissioner for Education.
