Meru is at the foot of Mount Kenya. In this region, there lived an elderly woman and her daughter Nkirote.

Nkirote had a son called Mutwiri. Because of poverty, Mutwiri did not attend school.

As Mutwiri grew up, he longed to wear nice clothes just like some of the people he saw.

He liked to watch teachers, bankers and managers.

Mutwiri learned how to read by reading the Bible everyday. When he had learned enough, he became a pastor.

He moved from one place to another preaching to the children and the villagers. They loved him because his message was simple.

When Mutwiri was ready to marry, the people bought him a nice suit for his wedding.

It was the first suit that Mutwiri wore.

Mutwiri was very happy because his desire was fulfilled.

After the wedding, he went home very happy.

He and his wife, loved each other very much.
