My friends and I  were happy to have closed the school. We were to go for the Decemberholiday.I wanted to reach home to inform my parents that I had become the first position in my class during the exam that we had done.

I walked home smiling.I was just thinking how my father would feel having his only son being the top in a class of 57 pupils.

I reach home and find my sister Mimo.I told her  my goodnews."Dad and mom will be happy for you Uche, "She told me.

I woke up earlier the following  day to start the day's duties.I went to feed the chicken and fetch the eggs with the help of Mimo.

We later walked to where we keep rabbits to feed them. Mimo and Kilonzi my friend helped in feeding while I made sure that the rabbits had enough water for the day.

That night after taking  supper, our father told us good news that we were going to visit a Zoo on Saturday. We were happy since we have never been there before.

We woke up early to prepare for the journey. At 9: 00am we started our journey. Our walked together as we story tell. My mother was walking with Mimo and I with my dad.

We reached  a point where we saw sweets, chocolate and snacks being sold. Dad bought us some for refreshment and we continued with our journey.

We reached the entrance and my heart was beating with joy for it was my first time to reach there.I saw many animals that I have only been seeing in books.

We got home happy but tired that evening after a long day of fun. Mother prepared  meal for us which we took and retired to our beds.
